St. Joseph’s Girls S. S. S Nsambya is a Catholic-founded private school, which was started on 23rd January 1967 by the Little Sisters of St. Francis as the Founding Body; who up to-date are the appointing authority for the School Board of Governors and administration. It is a girls-only “O” and “A” level boarding secondary school located in Kampala, off Nsambya Road, in Makindye Division, Kampala District. The idea to start this school was born out of a need to promote the then neglected education of the girls in the country. The need was expressed by parents to the Little Sisters of St. Francis, who have as their mission to uplift the standard and status of women in the African society. .
